Patch 16.4
Jinx
Jinx is currently one of the big winners of the new season. It turns out when your primary output is crits, and they get stronger, you do, too! Considering explosive basic attacks are core to her identity, we're leaving them just as they are. But we're going to make sure that she's squishy enough that if she's directly next to an explosion while falling dozens of stories, she's not somehow tanky enough to survive all of that. This isn't canon, but c'mon, we all know how this works.
Patch 16.1
Jinx
We like the overall shape of how Jinx functions and generally just want to preserve the value of her minigun's high attack speed, so we're making sure her two stances are more distinguished from one another and generally lowering a bit of spell damage to keep her attack-focused.
Patch 15.23
Jinx
As with the other ADC nerfs above, Jinx wins a large portion of her games and risks crowding out other champions if left untouched amidst the other nerfs in this patch. We want to preserve her identity as a late-game auto attack monster, so we're nerfing some of Jinx's spell damage.
Patch 15.19
Jinx
Jinx has been all but missing from pro play and we're hoping that with a little nudge to her early game she'll find her way back on stage.
Patch 15.6
Jinx
R damage decreased.
Jinx is running wild at just about all ranks at the moment so we need to take a bit of pep out of her step. Jinx's ultimate is a powerful tool at all stages of the game, regardless of the game state, so this patch we're aiming to pull down that all-around threat and retain its more situational burst damage against low-health enemies.
Patch 14.23
Jinx
AD growth increased. W damage decreased.
Lethality caster Jinx is currently going around causing chaos right now, the only thing is that this level of chaos isn't quite enough to warrant any nerfs. So instead we'll be giving Jinx a bit of a boost to incentivize her to opt into builds that lean into her identity as a premiere auto-attacker.
Patch 14.18
Jinx
Attack speed growth increased.
Another comfort pick for Pro, Jinx has a little bit of room for power so we’re giving her some tiny bit of additional attack speed growth which should help her crit builds hit slightly harder.
Patch 14.11
Jinx
Attack Damage growth decreased.
Jinx ended up being one of the big winners of the ADC item update. Not only does she benefit from the streamlined stats but also the simplicity of the builds that are available to her. We know Infinity Edge is also getting nerfed this patch, so she's just receiving a light tap to keep her in line and leave room for other crit champions to compete.
Patch 13.21
Jinx
Passive stacks adjusted.
The Jinx buffs from last patch landed well, but the passive was a bit TOO CRAZY in situations when Jinx was allowed to run uncontested through the enemy base. Taking away her shimmer supply by capping the passive stacks and letting it only stack versus champions should help reduce her ability to end the game at the drop of a hat.
Patch 13.20
Jinx
Health growth increased. Passive bonus total attack speed now stacks. R cooldown decreased, base damage increased, AD scaling increased.
Jinx had a blast at MSI this year, but after the nerfs post-MSI and ADC itemization changes that came afterwards, she's been having a tough time. This set of changes is aimed at increasing her power in average skill brackets without putting her over the line in Pro play come the beginning of next year. Get excited, because we have a Get Excited! Buff that players should really appreciate alongside a little extra explosive power in her Super Mega Death Rocket.
Patch 13.11
Jinx
Attack speed growth decreased.
Jinx has been getting away with strong laning phases despite her identity being a scaling marksman. We’re reverting her Attack Speed Growth introduced in patch 13.5 to reduce her overall rocket DPS.
Patch 13.9
Jinx
Attack damage growth decreased.
Jinx is one of the stronger ADCs in League and as a result needs a light nerf to put her more on par with other marksmen.
Patch 13.5
Jinx
Attack speed growth increased. W mana cost decreased, slow increased. R damage cap to monsters increased.
Jinx hasn’t been popping off thanks to the IE or Navori second purchase changes, and her power isn’t quite up to par with her marksmen peers, so we’re comfortable giving her a little more oomph. These changes should help W feel more effective with only one point in it while the R changes are to help Jinx have a shot at those sweet cross map Baron steals.
Patch 12.19
Jinx
Base AD increased. R base damage to primary target increased.
Jinx hasn’t been her usual chipper, chaotic self recently, so we’re giving her a bit more explosive power in the form of base damage buffs.
Patch 12.8
Jinx
Base health decreased.
Jinx has reigned supreme in bot lane all season long. Instead of putting a damper on her late game havoc, we're reopening her vulnerability to getting all-inned early.
Patch 11.21
Jinx
Passive attack speed increased. E range increased. R cooldown decreased.
Jinx is craving some excitement, so we're boosting her passive to make her pop-off moments really pop and letting her wreak more havoc across the map with her ult. Flame Chompers' range is also getting a slight increase to work better with Fishbones' basic attacks. Everybody, panic!
Patch 11.18
Jinx
Q mana cost reduced early for Fishbones.
We're boosting Jinx's lane push power to make her a more viable pick and increase her early game overall. Katchoo!
Patch 11.10
Jinx
Base armor decreased. R damage now capped against epic monsters.
Despite Jinx's bugfix-nerf in 11.9, she’s still at the top of the marksmen heap. In addition to her big ol' deadly rocket to snipe objectives, she’s a safe pick to handle most scenarios. We’re making her more vulnerable to enemies who want to shut her down early on, then pulling back on a super mega frustrating point of her ult.
Patch 11.9
Jinx
Q crit strike bugfix.
Jinx was doing way more splash damage than she was supposed to with Fishbones. It’s fixed now, but it’s a big enough drop in damage that we’re noting it here.
Patch 11.4
Jinx
Base health increased.
Jinx is back! Her win rate seemed to go down in higher levels of play, suggesting that the 11.3 base health nerf was skewed too high.
Patch 11.3
Jinx
Base health decreased. Q bonus range increased; Fishbones bonus attack speed penalty decreased. E cost increased; arm time decreased; max range cast adjusted.
The new item changes have not been kind to Jinx. We wanted to make some priority adjustments to the items in general first before tackling her, and now it's finally time. Additionally, since she's been primarily out of pro play for a while now, we're shifting some of her kit's power from raw stats to her abilities to create more room for skill expression.
