Even after her micropatch nerfs, Nilah is still sooo happy (overpowered) about the new season. We're looking to bring her overall power down now that the dust has settled.

Nilah's in an interesting place where her Q didn't scale with Infinity Edge, so unlocking that avenue marks a small power increase on top of her basic attacks getting better, so we sought to find other ways to slightly lower her late game scaling as compensation.

Nilah will not become a viable jungler with this change but the current restriction around how little splash damage she deals to jungle monsters just isn't needed. We're removing this unneeded mod for now and eventually we may dive into what it would take for Nilah to be functional here.

Nilah is the winningest bot laner in League of Legends, and while someone has to be on top, she’s ahead by a little more than we think is reasonable. We’re delivering what we expect to be a small overall nerf while increasing her early game agency.

We’re delivering some power-positive QoL changes to Nilah this patch, much like last time. The Q timeout and R lockout changes should make her smoother to play with very little power impact, while the instant E-Q is an often-requested feature that we think represents a more significant change and we’ll keep our eyes peeled for any balance follow-up required.

This patch we’re delivering a quality of life change that has been requested by Nilah players for a long time. Nilah’s E should feel smoother to cast and her movements should feel snappier.

Nilah's a bit weaker than we think she should be and, as a result, is forced to be quite bursty and rely on enchanters to get through laning phase. By raising her baseline durability, she should have a nicer laning phase and more space to play out longer teamfights come late game.

Back in 13.22, we nerfed Nilah’s attack speed from Q, which ended up nerfing her more in high level play. We’re reverting that nerf and nudging her gameplay toward consistent DPS as opposed to burst damage, so we’re returning that attack speed and instead reducing some up-front burst damage on her active instead. Nilah is a bit stronger than where we think she should be, so our intent for these changes to leave Nilah a bit weaker than she currently is, especially in lower-skilled play.

Nilah has been a strong performer for a long time and that strength has finally caught on. This patch we're lowering her ability to single-handedly carry team fights with her whip-blade.
