Patch 16.5
Taliyah joins Azir and Orianna as pro-focused mid nerfs for First Stand with the goal of opening up the mid lane pool to more than just control mages in the first games of a series. In an effort to pro-skew her nerf this patch, we’re attacking her early wave control, making it less likely she can always be first to every Scuttle Crab fight. We’re also compensating her monster damage to keep her jungle clear at similar speeds.

Taliyah’s been missing from the jungle as of late and the gameplay changes for the new season didn’t help her, quite the opposite actually. To that end we want to get her rocking and rolling in the jungle again so we’re buffing up her mid game clear speed to help her out.

Q and Q2 mana cost decreased, damage decreased. E mana cost decreased, damage decreased.
Taliyah has been no stranger to higher level play and we think the culprit is a combination of reliability and durability in her most common builds. We'd like her to be weighed down less by her high mana costs in order to make her less reliant on Tear of the Goddess. Additionally, we would also see her build more aggressively so we are lowering her base damage in order to make AP a larger portion of her power budget. We're improving her jungle modifiers as a way to offset these adjustments to mid lane.

Taliyah’s been rocking mid lane champions for multiple patches now with an incredibly high mastery curve, so we’re looking to bring her back down to Earth this patch by making her slightly squishier and taking a little damage off of her empowered Q’s.
Patch 14.13
Q bonus monster damage reduced.
Taliyah is currently extremely over-performant in the jungle, so we're specifically hitting some jungle levers. She has one of the fastest initial clears in the game while also having great late-game clears due to Runic Ashes and its upgrades so we're slowing those down to more reasonable levels.

Q damage decreased.
Taliyah has been popping off in both elite and pro levels of play in both her roles, and with the addition of a new item to favor her early game, she's dipped a little over. Rolling back on some of the early power we gave in a previous patch, that should affect both her roles (and skew heavily towards elite jungling due to clear speed).
Patch 14.3
Q damage increased. E cooldown decreased.
With the loss of access to Ability Haste across the board, Taliyah hasn’t been able to get stable footing in the new season. While we’re addressing the Haste issue with a cooldown reduction to her E, we also want to make her a bit more relevant in the early game, both as a mid laner and jungler, so we’ll be giving her Q some more power which is generally always nice for her to have.

Taliyah hasn’t been rocking anyone’s world recently, which is a shame because that’s literally her identity. We currently feel as though Taliyah has room for a small buff to both her mid and jungle roles, especially when it comes to early game damage and frequency, both of which these changes should help bolster.
Patch 13.9
R cast lockout conditions adjusted.
In Taliyah's midscope, we limited her ability to have a guaranteed escape by building some walls around when she could cast her ultimate. Some of this found success, but other cases left Taliyah feeling punished when she couldn't chase after someone she had recently damaged. We're happy in the cases where Taliyah rock surfs into enemies, so we're loosening those restrictions.
Patch 12.15
E cooldown increased at all ranks. R wall duration decreased.
Taliyah’s Unraveled Earth is a great tool for stalling teamfights and creating a danger zone to scare off opponents. However, it’s currently creating a bit too much time for herself and allies. We’re taking down her ability to cast it quite as frequently, but she should still be able to use it twice or more in late game fights.

Q damage increased, mana cost decreased, bonus damage to monsters decreased; boulders now stun jungle monsters. R adjusted.
Taliyah hasn’t been as strong as we’d hoped after her previous tectonic power shifts from patch 12.11. We’re increasing the damage output on her Q to help both her overall laning and jungling in lower brackets of play plus giving her some quality of life buffs.

Taliyah's mid-scope update in Patch 12.9 was great for Taliyah players, especially those in Elite tiers of play. We're introducing some Elite-skewed nerfs that should erode some of her power as well as some QoL changes and bug fixes to help her out.

Get ready to rock and roam because the one and only Stoneweaver is ready to rumble (the ground). Taliyah has been struggling to find footing on the Rift, not only in mid, but in the jungle as well—not to mention the mechanical complexity and punishing nature of her kit. For Taliyah’s update, we really wanted to focus on making her more fun (especially for players who’ve been playing her frequently), reviving her presence in mid, and increasing the amount of forgiveness in her kit. We’re hoping these changes shake things up and give her a clean slate to start anew!

Q damage to monsters hit by subsequent stones reduced.
Taliyah is doing a bit too well in the jungle after her latest set of buffs. We're helping her stay grounded without eroding her rediscovered powers in mid.
Patch 11.18
Casting Q on Worked Ground now refunds its cooldown. Worked Ground radius and duration decreased.
Taliyah's found solid footing in the jungle but she's still on shaky ground in mid. Her kit has a number of rules that feel more punishing than empowering, so we're loosening up by reframing Worked Ground as an optional way to cast successive Qs rather than a severe movement tax on her higher-damage full Qs.
Patch 11.3
Passive bonus movement speed increased. Q subsequent stone damage against monsters decreased.
Taliyah's jungle surfing in Elite levels of play has been seismic. We're reverting some previous changes (11.1 and partially 10.25), while narrowing in on some specific jungle clear nerfs.
