Patch 15.18
Aurora
Passive damage adjusted.
In a similar boat as a few other mages in this patch, Aurora has been outcompeting and dominating the mid meta in Pro. We're looking to take some power out of her pro specific advantage of baseline target agnosticism without buying into high AP, as well as worsen her lane phase slightly so she is less capable of supporting her team in early skirmishes.
Patch 15.12
Aurora
Base MR increased. R damage increased.
Aurora has been a champion that’s been tricky to make work in pro play, as she has a tendency to end up in the top lane when she’s viable. We still want her to be an option for MSI, so we’re giving her some mid-skewed buffs that shouldn’t move the needle too much for her in top lane.
Patch 15.5
Aurora
E damage decreased.
Aurora's too good at catching out targets and bursting them in the midgame, so we're taking down some of her reliable burst damage and making it a bit less punishing to run away from her.
Patch 14.23
Aurora
All abilities adjusted.
We're changing Aurora to make her a bit easier to pilot for less experienced players and less frustrating for her opponents. The high-uptime movement speed from her passive and the ability to trap opponents with her ultimate have been removed and in their place we have compensation buffs via on-demand move speed through W, a bit more range and damage on her conventional damage spells, and more space to hop around during her ultimate.
Patch 14.18
Aurora
R jump distance and wall forgiveness decreased, duration decreased.
Aurora’s landed as a popular champion and is performing quite well in higher skill level play. Since we’re at the World’s patch and don’t want to risk her hopping all over the competition, we’re significantly reducing her ability to pick off and corral enemy champions.
Patch 14.17
Aurora
R Damage decreased.
Aurora has begun settling in after the first few weeks of balance updates and players learning her. She’s in a pretty balanced state but is a little over the line. We’d like to make sure she feels good as an elusive, repeatable mage and make her less reliant on just jamming R for reliable burst, so we’re taking down about 10% of her ult’s damage.
Patch 14.15
Aurora
Passive movement speed decreased and spirit bonus formula changed. Q recast delay decreased. W cooldown increased and invis break timing adjusted. E dash speed decreased. R damage decreased.
We’re doing customary first-patch follow up on League’s newest champion, adding some quality-of-life to make the newest member of Anima Squad even smoother to play. Alongside these quality-of-life changes, we’ve also noticed she’s a bit overpowered, especially in higher-level play, so we’re bringing down some of her more elite-skewed strengths.
