Patch 15.11

Armor growth decreased.
Cho'Gath's recent changes made him a bit too strong, so we're tuning down his power slightly.
Patch 15.10

Base Attack Speed increased. Q damage decreased. E damage increased.
Cho'Gath is currently performing too well in mid, while needing some help in top lane. Changes to his base AS and Vorpal Spikes are aimed to close the gap between Hail of Blades and Grasp setups, while Rupture changes are targeted at generically powering down mid lane.
Patch 15.5

Q damage decreased. W damage decreased. E damage decreased at lower ranks but increased at higher ranks.
Mid lane high-speed Cho'Gath has caught on as an overperformer, so we're trying to bring his power level down to a more reasonable level. We're specifically targeting his basic ability burst damage, as those outputs are what makes that playstyle so strong. Adjusting E's damage to rely more on ranks represents another light hit to burst Cho'Gath and compensates top tank Cho'Gath for the damage loss on Q and W.
Patch 14.14

Q base damage increased. E base damage increased.
Cho'Gath is currently underperforming and a bit weaker than we'd like him to be, so we're increasing the base damage on both his Rupture and Vorpal Spikes so that when you're able to land them they hit a bit harder and feel more rewarding.
Patch 14.10

E damage cap against monsters raised to a flat value, damage cap against minions removed.
Cho jungle isn't doing too great, and while looking for ways to open up jungle diversity we noticed his E monster damage cap was quite low, and scaled with E rank. Now Chungle players have a bit more flexibility in choosing what spell to max first! The minion damage cap was a holdover that no longer seems relevant, so this is also a buff to Cho clearing Super minions in general.
Patch 14.6

W cooldown decreased. E damage increased.
Cho’Gath isn’t doing too hot up top, so we’re here to help this Void monstrosity become a bit more monstrous. We’re specifically targeting his early W cooldown and E damage in order to give him some better trading power and waveclear in lane.
Patch 13.4

Armor growth increased. Q mana cost decreased, base damage increased. W mana cost decreased.
Cho'Gath is a champion that has fallen behind in the meta due to his lackluster late game presence where his damage falls off significantly and his mana costs make it hard for him to stay out on the map after a single fight. These changes are aimed at relieving some of these issues and making Cho feel better to play.
Patch 12.23

Passive mana restoration increased. W base damage increased. R cooldown now decreases with rank.
The lack of early access to Immolate and overall tank item changes have resulted in a pretty sizable power loss for Cho. In order to help him feel like a good chonky monster again we’re putting some more power into his passive mana sustain and letting him feast on enemies a bit more often.
Patch 12.22

R damage increased.
With the increased damage coming to Smite this patch we’re buffing up Cho’Gath’s Feast execute damage in order to keep it competitive with Smite—don’t let Cho near your Barons!
Patch 11.19

Q cooldown decreased.
Despite being terrifyingly tanky, Cho'Gath is still weak across the board. We're increasing his CC and zoning capabilities so that he has more influence in fights.
