Mordekaiser
Q AD ratio added.
To open up more build options on Mordekaiser, we’re giving him some bonus attack damage ratios aimed at his most melee damage output. This will be a direct buff to him every time he ults, but the main intent is to bring back some AD builds and splashes of options like Sterak’s Gage. In short, bonus attack damage will make his mace smashes deal more damage.

Mordekaiser lost some power when his favorite magical mask was nerfed in 15.10, so we’d like to re-add some power back, specifically to his late-laning phase wave clear which has taken a bit of a dive recently.

E damage decreased.
Mordekaiser is dominating lower MMR brackets, so we're taking a swing at his damage there. As better players are more likely to dodge his E, taking down its damage is a targeted way to nerf him in places where he's performing the best.

Q single target bonus damage decreased.
Mordekaiser is one of the biggest top lane winners of the patch and needs to be reigned in a bit. His first three items are all AP and he's currently dealing some of the highest damage in the game among top laners, so we’re reducing his burst through a nerf to his main damaging ability.

Passive damage decreased and monster cap increased. Q damage decreased late game.
Mordekaiser is currently one of the strongest performers in top lane, especially in lower MMRs. We're taking down some low-MMR skewed parts of his kit: his isolated Q and his E. We're also returning a little bit of power to his passive in the jungle with the goal of hitting that role a bit less than we're hitting top lane.

Q cooldown decreased. E damage decreased. R is no longer escapable with certain abilities/items.
Mordekaiser has long suffered from being very powerful in lower-skilled games while being too inconsistent in highly-skilled ones. Some of this disparity is due to his weak early lane and his ultimate being easily countered by an inexpensive item and certain champion interactions. This patch we're hoping to shore up both of those pain points while making a small compensation nerf to his damage. We acknowledge that this change to his ultimate is quite risky. It's possible that Mordekaiser is not balanceable without such strong counters and that ultimately Mordekaiser players would be happier with a highly unreliable ult but a stronger base kit. But we're going to support this version of Mordekaiser and do our best to balance him with these new strengths in mind.

Q damage increased. R now reveals the target upon initial cast.
Mordekaiser isn't performing particularly well at the moment, so we're taking a look under his rusty metal hood. First, a quality of life change to prevent the fog of war from canceling his ultimate. Second, he's gettingan AP ratio buff to his Q with the goal of letting him build ability power in more of his games, instead of transitioning into tank items quite so quickly.

Passive damage cap against monsters decreased, now only procs when hit by large monsters.
Mordekaiser jungle appears to have been a big winner of patch 12.22 thanks to his passive. We’re dialing that passive down a bit by reducing his base damage to monsters and making it specific to large monsters so that it functions similarly in the jungle as it does in the top lane.

Passive move speed increased; now increases at levels 6 and 11.
Mordekaiser has also been struggling to find his footing in top lane, so we're returning some of the Iron Revenant's move speed. This should help him stick to his enemies better. Get it? Like a magnet. Okay, we'll stop.

Mordekaiser's bummed that he’s been falling behind his peers. We don’t want the god of metal to be the butt of jokes, so we’re buffing him for skilled players by granting him more access to his most flexible spell.

The Iron Revenant’s been having trouble standing up to the current fighters in top lane, so we’re passing him more durability to help him hold his own in lane and overall throughout the game.

Despite our buffs to him in 11.3, Morde is still on the weaker side, namely in his upfront damage and sustain. Giving him more power to obliterate his foes.

Morde isn't grasping the new season well, so we're giving him more grasp. We're hoping this along with other system changes (Riftmaker giving more health, AD bruiser items getting nerfed) will help him navigate this strange new world.
