Q damage increased late. E damage increased late. R damage adjusted.
Ziggs isn't bringing much explosive firepower to the table right now, which is kind of his thing. We'd like to make him a much better mid laner without making his bot lane power level unreasonable, so we're improving his scaling with experience, which should disproportionately help his mid lane game without making him a terror bot lane.

Passive damage to structures decreased.
We’re concerned that Ziggs will remain the dominant bot laner for Worlds this year, especially with some of the top tier ADCs being nerfed. We’re delivering a small, Pro-skewed tap to Ziggs that should leave him mostly untouched for the rest of us. As pro teams are much more coordinated and better at getting Ziggs in front of turrets one after another, we hope he can still be good at demolition without choking out his competition in coordinated environments.

Ziggs
Base armor increased, armor growth increased. W cooldown decreased.
Ziggs lost quite a bit of durability this season, mainly due to the fact that two of his core items, Seraph’s and Shadowflame, lost 200 health each. While we won’t be giving him all that health back directly, we are giving him some more durability from his natural armor sources in addition to W cooldown reduction which is a more skill expressive way of keeping Ziggs safe.

Base AD increased. Q damage decreased. W cooldown increased early, mana cost increased.
Our armor nerf from last patch ended up not being as meaningful as we had hoped due to how far back Ziggs can play, so we need to nerf him again as he's performing quite well in solo queue. Our main goal is to reduce how oppressive his early game is by nerfing the base damage on his Q since it now has a more reliable hitbox. We’re also including a nerf to his W uptime, as this is a strong engage/disengage tool that can also be used for waveclear since it has a relatively low cost.

Basic attack windup increased, base armor decreased.
Ziggs has been enjoying his increased Q reliability from patch 13.20 a bit too much and we've decided to adjust him so he can keep it. He's quite a safe pick due to how far back from his opponents he can play, and this nerf is intended to increase his vulnerability in certain mid and many bot match ups so that his AD opponents gain more for reaching him. He's also getting slightly nicer basic attacks as part of a sweep on all mages, which you can read more about below.

Ziggs
Q hitbox increased.
Ziggs hasn't been his bubbly booming self recently, so we're giving him a buff that we hope his mains will appreciate. His Q, while intended to be a bit unreliable, could miss in situations where players expect it to land, so we're looking to revert the nerf all the way back from 4.11 (that's right, Riot Games remembers). We believe in his current state there's room for us to increase the radius of his Q while still retaining its unreliable theme.

Ziggs has been struggling to blast off this year and finds himself in need of a little extra explosive power in his kit. We're packing his bombs with a bit more powder so he should find more success shoving lane for more map priority.

Base mana increased. E base damage per mine decreased early and increased later; slow decreased early.
Our 11.14 nerf to bot lane Ziggs seemed to fizzle out, so we’re giving back his mana and dialing back his second-max ability instead. This should curb his power more in bot lane, which shouldbe more easily recouped in mid.

Base mana reduced.
Bot Ziggs has been toeing the line for a while now, and with his 11.12 buffs, 11.13 mage item buffs, and his unending supply of bombs (where does he even pull them out from?), he’s finally crossed it. Although his buff in 11.12 lent a hand to this, we believe those changes were important to help Ziggs’ abilities deliver on their gameplay promise, so we’re opting for a nerf that should hit his bot lane early game the hardest.

Q base damage increased later. R missile speed increased.
Ziggs hasn’t been around much lately, so we’re tossing him a bomb bone by strengthening his Q to spike harder in mid game. More importantly, we’re giving his ult a significant speed buff. This should make it more reliable when casting from long ranges while strengthening his powerful AoE damage in teamfights.
