Zac has been truly explosive in the new season, and while his ability to tank and engage are meant to be core strengths, he's also too lethal for a tank with deep backline target access. So to give everyone a fair shot against him, we're reducing his burst damage when it's slime time, especially against squishies.

Q damage decreased.
Zac is overbearing in the top lane right now and due for a nerf. We're lowering some of his burstier damage, as he doesn't need that given how disruptive he already is. Our goal is for this change to have little impact on his jungle performance where he can reliably grab every blob to consistently refresh his W, compared to top lane where he takes less frequent trades and the burst becomes much more oppressive.

Passive formula reworked to scale off level instead of R ranks.
Lane Zac provides a pretty poor experience to everyone who has to face him as his trades are nearly guaranteed and his sustain makes him almost impossible to trade against. We're nerfing his early game passive healing in hopes of opening up more opportunities to whittle him down and push him out of lane.

Zac has been bouncing around and dominating top lane for a while now, much to his opponents' chagrin. He's a pretty well balanced jungler, but a pretty noninteractive and overbearing top laner. So we're looking to reduce his early game lane safety by bringing down his passive regeneration, requiring him to risk reprisal from his lane opponents if he wants to sustain back up.

Zac has been taking over top lane, but his power as a jungler is still in a relatively healthy spot. So we're aiming to give him some top lane specific nerfs. Since top lane Zac maxes W first while jungle Zac maxes E first, reducing the scaling per rank on his W should bring down his power up top while minimally affecting his jungle power (if not giving it a very small boost at rank 1 for early clearing).

Zac has elastic slingshotted into a top tier jungler (and a few other lanes along the way). The recent Demonic Embrace nerfs brought down his power slightly, but he's still overperforming compared to the rest of the roster. We're reducing some of Zac's scaling damage as the game continues, so that he'll either have to rely on his teammates more for damage like other tanks, or be pushed into more greedier AP builds if he wants to start threatening squishier targets.

Zac also made the list of champions that were nerfed now that they aren’t rushing Immolate. In order to add some goop back to this glob, we’re buffing his health scaling a bit to help him synergize better with some of the new Preseason tank items.

Between last season’s changes to jungle camp health and Bami’s Cinder, Zac lost a lot of his mid-game clear speed. We’re putting the glob back on the job by slinging him more damage, along with a buff for AP bruiser builds.
