Patch 16.7
Ultimate haste no longer provides passive 0.015 passive fury generation per second but instead amplifies all fury generation by 1% per 1 ultimate haste. This should make ultimate haste function for Shyvana more similarly to how ability haste does for normal abilities. We also micropatched some Sylas interactions last week. He was dealing too much damage when stealing Shyvana's Q by applying her on-hit damage twice and essentially double-dipping on his total attack damage vs. his primary target.
Patch 15.14
In Arena's past, Shyvana was a force to reckon with. However, as players have gotten better at the mode these changes have had a bit too large of an impact, so we're reverting her Arena-specific adjustments.
Patch 14.23
MR growth decreased. E damage decreased.
Shyvana regained almost all the win rate she lost since her last nerf so we're revisiting her sooner than we anticipated. She still substantially overperforms in lower skill brackets, so we're skewing these nerfs to that skill bracket in particular. Shyvana's quite resilient when combining her base stat growth and bonus resists from her passive, so we're lowering these late-game base stats to make it so that she can still end up squishy when she fails to stack her dragons.

W AP ratio decreased, R-E burn damage decreased, R AP ratio decreased.
When we changed Spear of Shojin to have less ultimate haste, Shyvana asked “What ultimate haste?” So it should come as no surprise that her core item is now even more her core item. We don’t think it’s a problem that she’s uniquely situated to ignore ability haste on her ultimate. However, it is a problem that she’s overpowered right now. She’s incredibly lethal and really evasive, leading to her snowballing and running over games too easily, so we’re dropping some of her damage and AP scaling from less meaningful places to give her opponents a fighting chance.
Patch 14.15
E damage increased.
Shyvana players have cooked and found themselves an incredibly scrumptious build with Spear of Shojin and Liandry’s Torment. We respect the genius, but she’s just winning too many games now. She only needs a fairly light tap, as she’s one of the easier champions to play and so a balanced Shyvana should have a win rate above 50% for most players. We’re functionally bringing down some of Shyvana’s base damages by converting from total AD ratios to bonus AD ratios and buffing them, which should weaken her current high-AP builds but bring up the power of AD Shyvana, who’s currently pretty unplayed.

Q empowered attack damage increased, bonus attack speed increased. W bonus movement speed increased.
We removed Night Harvester from the game, but AP Shyvana was here before that, and she’ll be here long after thanks to her dedicated player base. Since her AP build is something we know players enjoy, we want to make sure it remains viable.
Patch 13.16
W AoE and on-hit damage decreased.
Shyvana gained a lot of power in 13.14 and while she was tapped down in 13.15 and her AP builds are about where they were before, her AD builds have taken off. We'd like to keep AD as her optimal build, but it's just performing too well. This patch, we're weakening her lowest-gameplay skill that only succeeds when she's stat-checking her enemies.

AD growth decreased, health growth decreased.
Shyvana’s last round of changes were a bit too fire, so we’re back to dampen her flames ever so slightly. Shyvana has historically always done better at lower MMRs, but her recent changes increased the skill skew even moreso. With this batch of changes we’re looking to even out this skill skew a bit by reducing some base stats which will make her a bit weaker in the late game where she can afford to lose some power, but not affect her already weak clear speed.
Patch 13.14
Q AD scaling increased, attack speed increase added, cooldown increased. E now additionally scales with bonus AD.
Shyvana’s builds have been skewing heavily towards AP lately, and her AD builds haven’t been getting much love. She was depending on items and a few other in-game systems to keep her strong in the past, but with these getting adjusted, a lot of her power went along with it. Our goal with these changes is to give Shyvana more solid reasons to build and scale with AD-centric builds. And we’re also adding built-in attack speed so she doesn't have to rely on items to provide it for her.
Patch 12.23
E damage vs marked enemies decreased.
Shyvana has been blazing through the new jungle thanks to the Preseason changes that made camps healthier and increased the damage output of her E. We’re taking down her maximum percent HP damage so she isn’t quite so oppressive against camps AND all the tanks seeing more play.

W AoE AD scaling increased, bonus on-hit damage AD scaling increased. E percent health damage on auto attacks decreased, E AD scaling increased, AP scaling increased.
Right now Shyvana’s best builds are her tank ones, despite that one time we all got one-shot by a Shyvana E on ARAM. We’re giving her some more AD and AP scaling in place of base damage to help out her alternative and exciting build paths.

We’re introducing some small quality of life changes and a batch of bugfixes to help fan Shyvana’s flames.

Q cooldown decreased early; damage ratios increased.
Shyvana could use more oomph in her one point wonder, so we're buffing her Q to help her clear speeds and let her really dig her teeth into her enemies. We're also adding in some AP compensation so that both her builds can benefit equally.

While AD Shyvana has been tearing up the Rift with both fighter and tank builds, AP Shyv has been dragging (dragon?) behind in the new season. We want to buff AP Shyvana in ways that aren't centered around her just spamming fireballs. These changes should help her clear speed, which is weaker with the new items.
