R damage increased at higher ranks.
Renekton has been underperforming and has been less present in pro play lately, giving us some room for a small buff for solo queue. Renekton is a dominant laner so we're targeting a part of his kit that wont impact his lane or level 6 spike much but still be felt late game.

Q champion healing increased. E cooldown decreased. R bonus health increased.
Simply put, Renekton is quite bad in his current state and in desperate need of some help. For starters we'll be increasing his Q healing now that he no longer has the reliable healing that Goredrinker provided him. We're also decreasing his E cooldown at later stages of the game so he can have better target access to squishies. And last but certainly not least, we're increasing the bonus health he gets from his ultimate to give him better survivability in teamfights and for better Sundered healing synergies as that's his most common first item at the moment. Overall, these should help make Renekton feel a bit more like the Butcher of the Sands he's meant to be.

Base magic resistance decreased.
Renekton has been performing particularly well in high MMR solo queue and Pro play. He has a very high Elite/Pro pick rate due to his safety and consistency as a blind pick, so we're targeting his base Magic Resistance to make him more vulnerable to certain matchups such as Gwen, Kennen, and Rumble, while preserving his much needed early game strength against other champions.

E cooldown decreased. R cooldown decreased, magic damage increased.
Renekton has been a bit weak in solo queue, feeling more like a plush than a terrifying butcher, so we’re looking to decrease his E cooldown to bring the timing a bit closer to his other abilities. This will give Renekton more opportunities to engage/escape, and will make losing the Prowler's Claw active not feel as bad. We’re also looking to increase both the power and uptime of his ultimate.

Q base damage decreased, AD scaling increased.
Renekton is back to his old ways of being a dominant, blind pickable champion in the top lane. Not only can he go head-to-head with the strongest melee champions, but he can also dominate ranged opponents. We’re decreasing his damage output (especially when not itemizing AD) to give other champions some space to play.

With recent updates, it's been harder than ever for Renekton to scale into the mid and late game. His ultimate’s AoE damage in particular doesn’t feel as impactful, so we’re giving it an AD ratio to help this crocodile with his scale-ing.

Health and AD growth increased. W base damage increased, cooldown increased early and decreased late. R base damage increased.
Renekton has largely disappeared from Pro after the fighter item changes in 12.3. We're looking to add some scaling back so he feels a bit better as the game progresses. We're also reducing the gap between his W and E second max builds since that choice leads to some serious win rate losses in Average play. You heard it here first, crocs are back in fashion.

W stun and lockout durations increased.
The changes to Renekton's stun in 11.18 helped lower his popularity in Pro play, but it came at way too big of a cost. We're reverting those nerfs and will be looking for other ways to make sure the croc doesn't take a bite out of the pro scene again.

Base health and health growth increased. W self-lockout duration decreased and empowered animation sped up.
We over swung on Renekton's nerf last patch. We still believe reducing the stun on his empowered W was a step in the right direction to mitigate his Pro dominance, so we're improving its look and feel. We're also giving him more chances to start fights and increasing his tankiness.
Patch 11.18

Empowered W stun duration decreased; empowered W lockout now matches normal W behavior.
Renekton continues to live up to his name in Pro play, butchering his foes left and right. We're nerfing his crowd control specifically by changing the way his W works when empowered by Passive - Reign of Anger. This'll make it notably harder for him to lock down targets throughout the game, both in lane ganks and teamfights. To explain that weird self-lockout note below: Previously, Renekton was able to bypass his empowered W's additional lockout by attacking or moving at just the right time. We're making this decreased lockout time the baseline so the croc isn't CCing himself for almost as long as his target.

Q non-champion healing reduced.
This croc has been up and down the block in Pro play. With resourceless sustain and waveclear, he’s able to wade into lane and neutralize most matchups, then force fights by jumping on a victim with his point-and-click CC. To address this, we’re scaling back his healing.

As a strong pick for late-game survivability in skirmishes and teamfights, this croc has been up and down the block in Pro play. We’re cutting down his late-game tankiness so that his enemies have a fighting chance to find his Achilles’ scale.
