Nidalee has risen up the ranks as an extremely high-powered jungler, largely due to a bug where her Q deals more damage than it should at most ranges. We’ve fixed this bug and will keep an eye on her to see how she lands.

Nidalee's buffs from last patch still left her a touch weaker than we'd like and we're still looking to buff her jungle much more than top lane. We think her signature spell could stand to pose more of a threat so we're taking a swing at bumping up the fantasy of landing those max range javelins.

While Nidalee has appeared in pro play more often lately, it’s often been due to her strength as a top laner. We want to put some of her power back in her ability to become an AP jungle threat, so we’re giving her some extra help to take over games once she gets rolling.

Nidalee is one of the hardest champions to play, which means her win rate below Master tier is always deflated. That said, she's too strong right now, so we're taking down some of her cougar form damage. We're also interested to see how AD Nidalee might fare, so we're substantially increasing some of her AD ratios for courageous players who want to try out that alternate build.

Nidalee is in a pretty stable place right now, but that's only if you look at Emerald and below. In high Diamond and above she's at Apex predator levels of powerful. In order to keep her in a good state for the majority of players, we're hitting her with some high skill skewed nerfs, namely her base mobility and Q follow up damage.

Nidalee lost some power with the new season, so we’re here to help! Her damage is currently high, but she’s lacking in durability as she used to gain health from both of her first two items whereas she now gains none. In this patch we’re looking to increase her E heal since it has the room to be more powerful, and her E attack speed to help her clear. These changes are also intended to buff her supportive outputs to give her more options later in the game when she begins to fall off. We’re also including an MR growth buff to bring Nidalee more in line with similar AP characters who go into melee range such as Lillia or Rumble since this stat is quite important for them, especially in teamfights.

In this patch we’re looking to give AD Nidalee a little help in her cougar form so her swipes pack some punch. We’re not looking to make drastic changes to AD Nid, but just give her a little more support at the time.

Nidalee is an exciting champion when she's played at high skill levels, however she's all but disappeared from the jungle at the highest levels of play. In order to bring her out, we're looking to give her a small movement speed buff which is especially helpful to Nidalee both in her human and cougar form.

Nidalee gains around 6% win rate as MMR rises and is balanced around elite players. As a result, she performs poorly in the hands of most players. While part of this win rate loss can be explained by champion mastery, her extreme early dominance and required snowballing is also partly to blame. However, giving her a strength other than “snowbally early game jungler” is a pretty large task. Our goal here is to ease up her early clear slightly, making her more durable in the hands of players who haven't mastered her clear yet. Additionally, more durability should help her better pounce in for takedowns.

Nidalee's been catching prey left and right with her recently increased spell output, especially at higher levels of play. We're bringing down her early dueling power so she doesn't get such an easy Nida…lead.

Human-form Nidalee is a mana-hungry huntress, but her overall kit is much more compatible with the non-mana mage Mythics. We're giving her more access to her utility spells as well as making her AoE range bigger so she can claw enemies and jungle camps more effectively. Lastly, her heal cast range was pretty restrictive (especially for a character with so many other positioning constraints), so we're increasing it to match that of her Bushwhack trap placement. All in all, this should make her more accessible and stronger across all skill brackets.

Nidalee is known for being fierce, but as of late, her performance across all levels of play has been anything but. With more health, she should be less afraid to bring out the cougar against her prey, and should also help her feel more accessible to players who are just picking her up.
