Patch 14.13
Gragas
Passive heal reduced.
Gragas is quite hard to answer in lane due to his low-counterplay trades combined with his sustain. So we're targeting his sustain by tamping down power from his passive to make him less immovable. The heal was buffed for jungle clear years ago, which is no longer necessary due to healthier clears nowadays.
Patch 14.6
Gragas
Base health decreased. Q mana cost increased.
Gragas is currently performing too well in solo queue, particularly in higher skill brackets, so we’ll be nerfing him there specifically. We’re doing this by reducing his base health, as it’s currently quite high, which should increase his early vulnerability and give his opponents more of a window to kill him, while also slightly reducing some of his passive power. We’re also including a nerf to his Q mana cost to reduce how frequently he can spam his Q before purchasing items.
Patch 13.24
Gragas
Passive cooldown now decreases with level.
Back in patch 13.12 we released a Gragas nerf that increased his passive cooldown from 8 to 12 seconds. We've updated this to have his passive scale down as the game goes on. This is intended to give Gragas players more frequent access to his passive at later points in the game so he can sustain better during teamfights and while side-laning, but without reintroducing the oppressive sustain he had earlier this year.
Patch 13.22
Gragas
E cooldown reduction increased. R travel time decreased.
While not strictly powerful, max-ability-haste Gragas's ability to remove enemies from being able to play the game is just not acceptable gameplay. However, we also acknowledge that Gragas could use some love. This patch we're hoping to buff Gragas through a better cooldown refund on E (up until about 70 ability haste) plus an extra buff to the reliability of his ultimate. We expect these changes to help jungle Gragas most of all, so if you're raring to rabble-rouse some raptors, ‘ragas is ready to roll.
Patch 13.12
Gragas
Passive cooldown increased. Q mana cost decreased.
Gragas has had a high presence in Pro play recently due to his low counterplay trades and his ability to use his passive to sustain himself in lane. Lowering the cooldown of his passive should help make Graggy more manageable to deal with.
Patch 12.11
Gragas
Q AP scaling increased, cooldown decreased. E cooldown decreased.
Gragas hasn't been keeping up with the extended fights that came with the Durability Update, so we're topping off his Graggy Ice by giving him some more drinking power and agility to help his rotations in longer skirmishes.
Patch 11.19
Gragas
W damage AP scaling increased.
Gragas didn't benefit much from the Predator changes last patch, so he's still pretty weak. We're helping his various AP builds pack more of a punch and speed up his mid-game clear. However, please remember to always drink responsibly.
Patch 11.9
Gragas
E base damage decreased later.
Gragas is currently a triple threat in Pro levels of play, guzzling casks in jungle, support, and top lane. Nudging down one of his more vital spells in lane.
Patch 11.5
Gragas
Q cost now flat.
Pushing back the beefed-up top lane Gragas by increasing the ticket price on his barrels.
