Patch 16.8
Dr. Mundo has been able to more consistently reach his high points in the jungle where he is less concerned about his slow early game. We are looking to curb some of his clear speed to make sure he can’t go where he pleases too quickly and requires some more time to scale up.
Patch 15.24
We overestimated the impact of last patch's Dr. Mundo bugfix, which means our compensation buff overshot as well. That said, we're still happy with where Top Mundo ended up, but Jungle Mundo is now a little over the line, so we're here to deliver a jungle-specific nerf to bring his two primary roles closer to parity.
Patch 15.23
Dr. Mundo has once again risen up the ranks in popularity due to some very skilled players playing him very publicly. This time, in the jungle! We think Dr. Mundo is appropriately balanced in both roles at the present, but will continue to monitor how he's performing in the coming weeks. All that said, we're shipping a very impactful bug fix in this patch, which will increase his win rate, so we're also preemptively nerfing him a bit. We're happy with his recent reduction in burst damage, which this bug fix furthers, but want to maintain his overall sustained threat, so we're re-buffing his functional attack damage.
Patch 15.21
Dr. Mundo is a scaling juggernaut who has to wade through a fairly weak early game in order to scale into the ability to go wherever he pleases. And we're happy he's able to go where he pleases, but he's bursting whomever he pleases a bit too easily. We're looking for some power neutral adjustments that take away some late-game burst and give back late-game durability in its stead.
Patch 15.5
Base health increased.
Mundo has been on the weaker side for a few patches now, especially with the recent nerfs to most of his favorite items. Looking to buff up his base HP to compensate for the missing health from items. As a lot of Mundo's kit scales off of his max HP, we expect this base HP buff to carry more value than most champions would get.
Patch 14.24
E bonus AD decreased.
The good doctor is overperforming in lower skill brackets so we're toning down his power a bit, reducing his less visible damage while retaining his durability and satisfying cleavers Mundo players love.
Patch 14.20
E bonus attack damage decreased.
When tank items get stronger and overall damage goes down, Dr. Mundo gets very happy and starts to go wherever he wants. But now he’s overpowered and going places he shouldn’t, so we’re going to rein in his damage while preserving his high-end tankiness.
Patch 13.22
E Passive bonus damage increased.
Our Dr. Mundo nerf from last patch ended up hitting his win rate more than we intended and we'll be partially reverting it. To give Mundo some agency back, we'll be reverting some of the E passive attack damage nerf, as it's a more impactful change than our active E nerf (since it's not dependent on his missing health).
Patch 13.21
E bonus attack damage decreased.
Dr. Mundo benefitted a bit too much from our adjustments last patch which calls for some nerfs to the good doctor. We’re mainly looking to lower his damage which is a little too strong and allows us to maintain the “going where he pleases” gameplay style that his signature tankiness and durability support.

Base health regeneration increased, health regeneration scaling decreased. W recast timer decreased. E damage to jungle monsters increased.
The good doctor has been feeling a bit under the weather early game, but on the other hand he turns into a surgeon of death come late game. We're tuning Mundo in a way that should help smooth out his power curve throughout the game, while also giving him some medical tools to help him in the jungle.
Patch 13.1
Base health decreased. Armor growth decreased. E bonus attack damage decreased.
Since his changes in the last patch, Dr. Mundo has been going where he pleases (top and jungle) and performing quite well there. Now that our changes have succeeded in pumping up Mundo’s tank scaling fantasy, we’re looking to reel in his power and avoid any potential malpractice issues…
Patch 12.23
All abilities adjusted.
Dr. Mundo hasn’t been living up to his unkillable late game fantasy lately, so the good doctor has received some treatment in order to help him out. We’ve made a bunch of changes to Mundo’s medical tools, but the biggest changes were to his Heart Stopper and Maximum Dosage which have been adjusted to be significantly stronger in the late game. Now get out there, throw some Qs, and be unkillable.
Patch 12.12
Passive health regen decreased. R increased base health decreased.
Mundo's malpractice was already doing well, but now that Grievous Wound is weaker, it's time we check his medical license. We're nerfing him overall by lowering his healing, but the larger chunk of health missing should make his fantasy really come alive when he injects his maximum dosage.
Patch 12.4
AD growth decreased. R cooldown no longer decreases with rank.
Dr. Mundo's been tearing up top lane. We're pulling some of his baseline offensive power so he has to make better use of his medical kit to successfully sedate his patients.
Patch 11.18
Q maximum damage to monsters increased. R grants extra base HP on-cast instead of healing for missing health; healing over time decreased late.
While it's true that Grievous Wounds is the standard against healing champs, it's left Dr. Mundo rather sickly at higher levels of play. Anti-healing items tend to undermine champions like him and Soraka whose entire identities are designed around big beefy heals. The immediate base health gained from his ult will now ignore Grievous Wounds, but the healing over time will still be affected by it. This should make the anti-heal effect less sharp of a counter but still enough of a jab to hurt Mundo good. We're also juicing up his jungle potential to make him more appealing as a Pro flex pick.
Patch 11.14
Base attack speed increased. Passive health regen now scales; cooldown increased early. Q now heals more when it hits a monster. E now swats small monsters and does more damage to monsters.
The good doctor has been going where he pleases in top lane, but has been significantly behind in the jungle. In order to keep both roles at a similar level, we’re giving him several buffs that should help start the meatball rolling in the jungle, while also tapping down his laning power and sustain. These changes should also set him up for our next patch, where we plan to further doctor him up for all roles and skill levels.

Base armor and AD growths decreased.
Our 11.8 buffs to top Mundo brought him back into the spotlight and then some. Once he hits late game, he reaches an oppressive state where it feels impossible to get through his purple hide. We’re following up by taking out some of his tankiness and threat potential to let his opponents take bigger chunks out of his meaty exterior.

Passive max health regen increased.
At present, jungle Mundo’s been smashing, and top lane Mundo’s been crashing. We’re tackling this by pulling back on his clear speeds, which should slow his roll without stopping our purple friend from cleaving through the jungle. We’re then doctoring up Lane-do by tossing him more regen to make him the meaty meatball of his dreams.

Q health refund on hit and on kill increased. E bonus damage increased. R health regen increased.
Dr. Mundo has been struggling in top lane and the jungle. Giving him a bit more survivability and trading potential, and increasing his signature healing to make Mundo more *slurp* Mundo.
